In the final days of his reign, Henry VIII experiences some paranormal activity. During a party, Henry spots the ghost of Cardinal Wolsey and soon things take a turn for the strange. Henry orders Archbishop Dr Thomas Cramner and Bishop Stephen Gardiner to look into the events. As do they, Henry’s behaviour becomes erratic and causes concern among those around him. As the days pass by, figures from Henry’s past come back to try and save him in many attempts but Henry refuses. Can the ghosts save his soul in time or will it be too late?
