The year is 2050. Not much has changed. The 2040 Massacre was the straw that broke the camel’s back, leading the United States government’s crackdown on curing mental illness. This movement brought forth the National Re-humanization project, plummeting the mental illness rates in the United States to “”zero percent”” (in humans). Behind the project’s scenes, a powerful yet esoteric religious organization is rising, putting targets on vulnerable people through subliminal messaging, and monitoring their thoughts through implants colloquially known as “”thought broadcasters.”” The church’s eleventh target, a confused young man who would much rather be left alone, is left in the crossfire. After enduring years of torture at the hands of the church, then being experimented on with cruel and previously outlawed methods by the National Re-humanization Project, the last thing he wants to do is confront the church and their actions.
